The George's of Talgarth Market Stall is a regular at the Hay on Wye Thursday Market. We can be found seven miles from our shop in the historic Butter Market building every week. We stock a wide range of seasonal fresh fruit and vegetables as well as a selection of our home killed meats, home cooked deli meats, faggots and homemade pies.

Chris George first manned the stall at the tender age of 18 (a few years ago now) starting small, the stall has now grown three fold to what you see today. In the history of the stall Chris thinks that he may have missed maybe four weeks! He is one of the longest standing traders at the market. Preparation for the day starts at 2:30am; we arrive at the Butter Market at 5:00 am and are ready for our first customers at around 6:30. The stall today is manned by Salome and Samantha who are there come rain, shine, snow, ice and drizzle to help, with a smile. 

We take orders for fruit and vegetable boxes and meat all year round, just give us a call at the butchers or come and see us for a chat on a Thursday. You can collect, or we can deliver too!
